Lesson Horses
Below are the currently available lesson horses at Optimum Time Equestrian. We offer leasing options on our lesson horses, please inquire for availability and more information
OTE Make A Splash or "Cali" -
Cali is a 14.2h paint horse, and has been a part of our lesson program for a little over a year. She is a lovely and easygoing mare, and has the versatility to be suitable for beginner to advanced riders. Cali does it all - from calm trail rides, teaching a new rider posting trot, exciting cross-country schools, even to competitive horse shows, she is the girl for the job!
Ruby Slippers or "Dorothy" -
Dorothy is a 13.3h Welsh cross mare. She has been part of the team at Optimum Time Equestrian since the very beginning, and has proven to be a very fun lesson pony! Dorothy has an impressive repertoire, including cross country clinics with Boyd Martin, many off-property trips, and more. She is a firecracker and has a forward motor, and so she is typically recommended for riders with more experience. However, she is an excellent and experienced jumper, and any rider will be sure to have a great lesson with her!
Secret -
Secret is a 16h Paint mare. She is a newer addition to the team at Optimum Time Equestrian, but she is quickly proving to be a favorite amongst our lesson students! Secret is well experienced in both English and Western riding, but she definitely loves to jump. She has the experience and willingness to take an experienced rider to new levels. When this is paired with her calm and quiet temperament, she makes a great option for new riders to begin to learn with as well.
Mani Pedi -
Mani Pedi is a 16.1h Thoroughbred mare. Although she recently retired from racing, Mani Pedi has the personality that makes for a fantastic lesson horse. She is very smart and willing to learn, and has a natural talent that many experienced riders will enjoy.
