Megan Maeder is a life-long equestrian and has over 15 years of professional equine experience. With a Bachelor's degree in Equine Science and Management from Delaware Valley University, Megan has a strong background in equine health and veterinary care. Furthermore, she has worked for top equine veterinarians in the tri-state area.

 

A New Jersey native, Megan was introduced to horses at a young age by her mom and passionate horsewoman, Donna. Megan grew up showing competitively in the hunter ring. After college, she transitioned into the jumper ring when she acquired her first two off-the-track-thoroughbreds. Megan thoroughly re-trained them into noteworthy competitors, which ultimately led to being hand-selected to work under many of the top names in the equestrian sport. Megan spent considerable time working with Olympian and world champion event rider, Boyd Martin, which truly inspired her training style and passion for the sport.

 

Today, Megan actively competes in events, the hunter ring, and jumper ring. At Optimum Time Equestrian, Megan teaches  individuals from their first time on a horse through advanced riding and competing in shows. Megan specializes in retraining off-the-track-thoroughbreds and starting young horses under saddle as well.
